Flight LO 332 11.01.13 at 11.10 from CDG Terminal 1.
The terminal is a round dark building. No excess. I didn’t manage to take a photo of it from the outside. When we arrived it was dark and there were bright sign boards everywhere. So no matter how I tired nothing came out.

The inside of the terminal is also far from being extravagant.

It was hard to find the check-in for our flight, as the check-in counters are numbered in a strange way. Since we didn’t have much time to do the searching, we just asked Lufthansa.

LOT counter was standing modestly between SAS and AEGAN. And since they all have similar colors we ran past it twice.

I don’t know why but the check-in takes very long… It took more than an hour to check in all the passengers on the plane with a capacity of 50 people. (It’s good that we were the first in the queue.) By the way, the check-in opens two hours before the flight and there’s no online check-in in CDG…
We got the boarding cards only to Warsaw and were told that we would have to get the next ones in Warsaw. It’s strange though, since you always get two at once.
There are a lot of cafes in the waiting rooms wh ere you go after the check-in. So it’s not a problem to find a seat.

After a VERY careful and detailed inspection we entered the departure lounge, which is a small and quite cosy room with only six gates and lots of shops and cafes. There are special places to charge devices and computers with the Internet access.

Our plane Embraer E-175 board number SP-LIN taxied up.

Arriving passengers got off the aircraft quickly. In 20 minutes the plane was ready for the flight and off we went to board it. What I like about small planes is that everything happens very quickly. The departure was on time.
Monster Singapore took off before us. Its take off is an exciting sight.

LOT’s planes are all quite new. It was clean in the cabin and the business class didn’t differ much from the rest of the cabin, it was just separated by the curtain.

I was pleasantly surprised by the space between the rows. With my height of 184 cm I had enough room.

Quick safety instructions and introductory information in English, Polish and French. We took off quickly and smoothly. The food was served immediately after. To be honest I could do with less food but would prefer it to be more varied (the flying time is 2 hours) … A tough sandwich and a sweet. However, you could have any water you like and as much as you wanted. They also served beer and wine, but only one glass per person. There were no magazines in my row.

The stewardesses were ordinary, reasonably strict and efficient.

The toilets are clean and without smell. However, with my 182cm I was uncomfortable in a vertical position. I had to lean backwards.

The landing was soft and quick performed by Captain Boronovskij and his crew. After parking we had a bus transfer to the terminal.

The terminal in Warsaw is dull and of Soviet type. It’s a multi-storey building which is very long and straight without any twists or turns. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take a photo of it from the outside either because the airport staff rushed us to get on the bus and it was inconvenient to take pictures there. That’s why you can see only the lower part of the terminal in the photo.

The inside was OK –spacious and light. Lots of shops and some cafes. There were very few people (it was Friday night). That’s why we easily found a place to eat. However, I think in rush hour (if any) that could be a big problem.

2 hours between the flights flew by in shops and cafes. The plane was already standing by the gate. This time it was a bigger brother of E-175 – E-190 board number SP-LNB.

I’m not going to describe the second flight as it didn’t differ much from the first one (only the magazines were there).

Apart from that, everything was the same. There’s only one “but” – since the plane E-190 is bigger than E-175 , the fact that there’s only one toilet at the end of the cabin caused some inconvenience as you had to queue (it’s not that big a deal on board E-175).
That’s it. Don’t be too critical. I just wanted to fill the gap in reviews about LOT airline.
